When we arrived the owner was friendly and laid back. We were worried to see how tattered the reception was but this did not continue into the rooms themselves which were clean and recently decorated. We stayed in an en suite double room which was an ok size the shower itself needs upgrading. Very convenient to london kings cross less than 5 mins minutes walk across the road. We came back quite late and didn't think it was dodgy at all. The price we paid inc. breakfast which was quite good.

I spent one night at this hotel in a single room with shared facilities. The hotel is in a convenient location as it is less than a 5 minute walk to Kings Cross and St Pancras rail stations. While this area has a bit of a dodgy reputation I have to say I didn't feel uncomfortable walking back to the hotel late at night. When I first entered the hotel, it didn't look the best with the carpet in particular looking very woren However when I went to my room it was fine. It was clean and contained a small tv, a wardrobe and a wash hand basin. However where my room was located, there was no toilet on the same floor. It meant having to either go down or go up a floor to get a toilet which is a bit annoying during the night. There was however a shower right beside my room. A big plus for me was the lack of street noise from outside the hotel. Street noise can be a problem in central London. The breakfast was decent enough and consisted of juice, tea or coffee, cereal and a cooked breakfast. The staff were friendly. At ?35 per night this hotel is decent value for Central London. I wouldn't have any problems staying here again.
