Cruccuris Resort - Villasimius, Italy     

It's very rare to find a hotel that exceeds expectations, but this is certainly one of them. Upon arrival we were greeted by Maurizio (hotel manager) and the rest of the staff who made us feel very welcome. They were always extremely friendly and forthcoming with advice on the area. The hotel itself is exceptional value for money. It's only 3 years old, is immaculately clean (inside and out) and has two large size pools. Whatever time of day, the hotel always seemed quiet and there was never a problem locating a lounger amongst the spacious gardens that surrounded the pool area. Each room has an individual balcony, most over-looking the beach (only 1km from the hotel). One of the most attractive features of Cruccuris is a the option of a shuttle that takes you to the sister Hotel- the Stella Maris. This hotel boasts another 2 swimming pools and a private beach which in my opinion was the best in Vilassimius. Also, the free breakfast at Crucurris is amazing and the lunch and dinner buffets, although pricey at 20 and 30 euros respectively, is delicious. If I was to give a disadvantage to coming to Crucurris, it would be the depression you feel when you have to leave. I will be back...
