Booked Executive Room but was upgraded to Executive Suite room at no cost. It was a very huge room with living hall, dining table, one common toilet and king size bed with spacious bathroom.
My room was located at the 7th floor. The problem with all the Executive Suite rooms were all located at the end of the block. You have to walk to get to your room.
Overall, the room was ok. The bed + pillow, the toilettries are all great eventhough the lotion's smell was weird. The housekeeping was excellent. Stayed in the Executive Suite room entitled me with 3 laundry per day and the service was superb!.
The sauna/steam room was ok, acceptable standard. Stayed for a 4 nights, I'm sick with the breakfast selection at the coffee house. Its all the same eventhough the spread/selection was very good. The waiter/waitress was ok.
Outside the hotel is nothing much except for this few Singapore restaurant. Quite good taste though...
To get to town (i forget the name of the shopping street) from this hotel is a bit far, about 20 mins by taxi.
Overall, I enjoyed my 4 nights stay at this hotel and recommended for business travellers.

The Horison Hanoi is a bit of a mixed bag. Superficially, its a fairly decent hotel with ok facilities. Look a bit closer, and its a bit lacking.
Rooms are not bad, certainly nothing special. I had a club room, but it really had no special feature that suggested it was any better than any other run of the house room.
The bathroom was perfectly fine.
I ate breakfast in the executive lounge, which was a fairly small selection, but not bad food. I guess the benefit is that its a bit quieter than the full breakfast room.
The location is really nothing special, not close to anything of interest, but taxis in Hanoi are not expensive. The location tends to suggest it is a business hotel.
We had a function in one of the reataurants - a Chinese banquet - and the food was very good. I also ate in the coffee shop, which was nothing to write home about. The bar was also nothing special in terms of decor, and even less impressive in terms of selection of beers. They ran out of almost every beer other than Heinekin while we were there.
The hotel is certainly not a bad one, but don't come expecting anything grand.
