Good Hotel, half the rooms have been renovated and are very nice and modern, the other rooms are very clean and large also nice. The location is about 5mins into town which is a lovely place but very expensive, The beach is superb also. On the comment from previous traveller regarding loudish golfers we were a group of 23 aged 19-60 and to be fair we werent too bad, obviously going to be loud with large groups, what do you expect??? we tried to be nice and polite etc.. fair enough some of the group were bit loud and may have had a few too many lagers but they just returned to hotel and slept!! Hotel needs a lick of paint on the outside but apart from that its ok Idea on prices though Large Beer 6 Euro Main Meal about ?15 - ?50 la Taverna Royale can recommend though!

The hotel is in a good location within easy walking distance of the town centre and beech ,price wise it is about average for the town which is a fairly pricey town to stay and eat at. Before our trip I did read some of the reviews on this site ,one gentleman mentioned loutish English golfers which did concern us but we booked anyway reckoning that it may have been a one off - wrong. Golf is a big part of the area and sadly another group of English golfers (read -drunk, loud ,arrogant ,noisy ,vulgar) were staying at the same time as my wife and I which did not spoil our time at the Bristol but it certainly would try the patience of many decent folk especially old golfers bought up on etiquette.
