My Hotels Galilei - Pisa, Italy     

We booked into this hotel for our last night in Tuscany as we thought it would be convenient for getting to airport next day. After dropping off our hire car we got a taxi to the hotel at a cost of 16 euros!! Would have been cheaper staying in Pisa. Arrived to check in only to be told that it was not possible for 4 of us to share a room despite us confirming a family room for 4 was required. Although the receptionist said it wasn't possible she then said it was possible?! The receptionist was very unhelpful and had totally the wrong attitude for dealing with the public. She told us we had to wait for our room and then left us sitting in reception for one and a half hours despite lots of other arrivals all checking in. Once our room was ready she did not even have the courtesy to inform us, just left us sitting until we checked with her if the room was ready! She gave a very bad impression of the hotel, which is a nice comfortable hotel but our experience was ruined by her bad attitude. The male reception staff who came on duty later in the day were very helpful, and we successfuly booked the shuttle service into Pisa and also to the airport for morning with no problems.

We stayed at this Hotel on our last night, Before our flight the next day. We took a taxi from the airport after dropping off the Hire Car, I did call the hotel for their transfer but it was fully booked so I would adivse you to call before you arrive it was only 10 euros in the Taxi. The Hotels desk staff were very friendly, The Cafe/Bar was great. I was disapointed that there was no tea/coffee making facilites in the room an only one pillow each also the hotel had no UK adaptors and I had lost mine. We took a taxi to the Leaning Tower as the Tranfer time did not suit again 10 Euros (great) and booked the Tranfer back which was brill the hotel gave us a great map so it was easy. We went to the Hotels Restraunt after a lovely afternoon in Pisa, Food was over priced and waitng staff not very good, we very dissapointed as it was the end off a great trip and we could have eaten in Pisa for half the price and taken a taxi back. Breakfast was lovely and the transfer to the airport again was a good service. I would stay here again if I had a morning flight, just think Motel or Lodge not quite a Grand Hotel.
