Hostellerie De Tourgeville - Basse Normandie, France 

3 ème séjour à l'Hostellerie de Tourgeville et comme d'habitude c'était parfait ! Chambre en duplex spacieuse et très agréable. Accueil et service simple et sympathique. Environnement calme... Bref, on se sent bien, on se repose et on a qu'une envie : y retourner très vite !

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel in a Triplex room, which was a large suite arranged over 3 floors. The accommodation was very spacious, but decor looked slightly dated, although everything was very comfortable. We enjoyed the private terrace onto the garden in the late summer sunshine. The hotel itself was in a lovely location down a very quiet country lane with extensive grounds, all very well kept. It was extremely convenient for Deauville and the Pays d'Auge. We ate one night in the restaurant and found the food average and very expensive - we ate far better and cheaper elsewhere and would recommend La Haie Tondue (hamlet of same name) and Au Vieux Honfleur in Honfleur. Breakfast likewise was poor (mini bake your own croissants and anemic bread) - we ended up going out for breakfast as well - proper boulangerie croissants! Facilities in the hotel are excellent - there is an indoor pool, mini gym, table tennis and the extensive grounds had jogging trails. There were plenty of sun loungers and a nice terrace with tables and chairs. All in all we had a comfortable stay but found the place a bit lacking in soul.
