I stayed in the Tryp Hotel Cayo Coco from 25th June to 9th July, literally just come back and i feel i need to write my review immediately whilst its still fresh in my mind. For starters i must say i was sooo nervous for this holiday due to the bad reviews that have been expressed but i loved it. We went during Canadian Student week which was mental but as students ourselves we did enjoy the extra excitement (although people were complaining about noise etc) so i would recommend to avoid the end of june period if you want a relaxing holiday. We arrived at the hotel and were checked in immediately and shown to a lovely room in block 9 (top floor) which boasted super cool air conditioning, a nice tv, large bed, mini fridge and enough storage and clean bathroom facilities, the room was faultless and the balcony was large with a lovely sea view. We hit the pool immediately (one was out of use due to it being retiled but by the last week it was open again), there were three pools, one with a pool bar and a quiet one for pure relaxing in and then a larger one with water games. All pools were clean and there were always sunbeds available for us. Then there is the beach.... oh my gosh - it was breathtaking and sooo large with lots of sunbeds and crystal clear water, theres plenty to do down the beach....from snorkelling, diving to hiring pedalos (all free of charge) and there is a little hut to get drinks from down there. There are also great beach parties down there at night which are well worth a visit. The hotel itself is great, we never got bored, lots of bars and restaurants and the night time entertainment was fantastic. The food in the hotel was lovely, the buffet food was plentiful and fresh and the restaurants were stunning. The bars were always stocked and made some lush cocktails. The rooms were always cleaned to a satisfactory level and there is internet access etc and a lovely shop for items. We have vowed to go there every year again without fail.
