Rivamare - Venice, Italy 

This is really a nice little hotel, managed by a nice family. I was there at the end of June with 2 girlfriends and the owners made us feel at home even if we were so far. It was our first time in Italy and Venice was our first stop. We just loved everything there, the warm welcome, the good advice, the room, the lovely breakfast hall, the beach just across the street. But what really made us happy has been not to be in downtown crowded, hot, crazy Venice. We just stayed three days and it wasn't enough, I wish we stayed longer. Suggestion: try the restaurant at the Tennis club just next door, quiet and great food. I liked the Melanzane Parmigiana, but also the Spaghetti alle Cozze were very good.

Our first time to Venice – Lido. I , my mother and my sister absolutely loved this place, a friendly and cosy environment, a fantastic base to explore Venice. Rivamare Staff was excellent making us so welcome, it was my birthday during our stay, a bottle of wine with wishes card was delivered to our room as a gift, what a surprise! It was just like being at home, couldn’t have wished for more. The room was bright and comfortable with nice bamboo furniture; the same shells we found on the beach are used as key-rings for the rooms, a really beautiful and ecological idea! Superb breakfast, we enjoyed drinking our coffee on the sunny terrace among flowers and green plants. Then a healthy walk on the beach was the beginning of all our days in Venice. Hope to visit Venice and Lido again, we’ll be back to the Rivamare!
