NH Grand Place - Brussels, Belgium 

I discovered this hotel on venere.com....was happy to see that it was offering a better rate for a weekend stay. I stayed here on Friday and Saturday night after spending 2 nights in Amsterdam and before going to Paris. The queen double room I was given for single use was spacious and very comfortable. The 2 nights at this place were a luxury before spending a week in an unimaginably small and very expensive room in Paris. The bathroom at NH Grand Place was fantastic!!.....roomy, bright, separate areas for bath and toilet....a robe was provided for use during the stay as were some very good quality complimentary toiletteries. The hotel was easy to locate...a short walk from the station.....and so very close to the Grand Place and a shopping gallery and numerous places that offer interesting cuisines. Loved the frites and crepes in brussels!! The only negative thing I experienced was that the electronic safe in the room was not functional....and the technical assistants could not do anything about it. Breakfast is a tad steep for 15 euros...but includes a big lavish spread. All in all, I enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend it to others.
