Napoleon - Menton, France 3 star hotel

Address: 29 Porte de France, Menton, 06500
Napoleon details:  Hotel Napoleon is located in the pleasant Cote d'Azur resort of Menton, in between the marinas, in the picturesque bay of Garavan. The resort that once belonged to Genoa is an ideal destination for tourists the whole year round, thanks to its soft climate. The Cote d'Azur resort that has been an English colony since the 1890's, but it still has an Italian feel. Above many of the luxurious yachts and fishing boats, the old town rises in a tangle of small streets, tall Italian churches and pink, cream and ochre houses. From the hotel there is direct access to the beach where one can absorb the sun's radiance while enjoying the magnificent panorama offered by the bay. From May until September one can experience the French cuisine in the hotel's restaurant, located on its private beach, or enjoy a cool cocktail in the lounge bar. If you are in search of some exercise why not engage in one of the nautical sports that can be endured on the beach, have a swim in the swimming pool or a work out in the gym.

Thank you Trip Advisers had a great stay at The Napoleon. My experience of Hotels in Fance is that the Reception area is the best the Hotel has to offer and generally things go down hill from there. This is not the case at the Napoleon every detail has been attended to although contemporary in style it has a warmth which is unusual for this style. The staff and service is 5 star. The Hotel is sited on a small plot so the pool (not heated) and surround is small and probably not suitable for children however the Hotel has a beach area with a lovely Restaurant. It is about a 10 minute walk into the centre of Menton or the Bus is 1 euro. The Hotel has parking but there is also a lot of parking available near by. If you travel there by Train get of at Menton Garavan which is just behind the Hotel. The rear rooms at the hotel have mountain views but no Balconies and the rooms overlook a college which is having building work done starting at 8am to 8pm mid week -this may bother guests who need a siesta - we were not troubled by it as we were out and about all day and the double glazing helped. The front rooms have a balcony. The Hotel is set some distance back from the sea seperated by a dual carriage-way and car park despite this the view from the balcony (even the first floor) is lovely. I will return.

Just returned from a 3 day stay at the 3 star Hotel Napoleon in Menton. This is a boutique style, elegant, bright, relaxed hotel. Suits young as well as the stylish older traveller.Rooms are furnished in high quality, fresh, modern style.Bathrooms are well designed and again modern and fresh. Breakfast is simple high quality French produce and the coffee is excellent (rare in France and particularly in hotels): This is one example of the attention to detail which characterises this hotel. Staff in all roles were approachable but impeccably professional. The wine list is better than many five star hotels. We loved our brief stay . Came away very refreshed and will certainly go again.
