Pono Kai Resort - Kauai, USA     

We absolutely loved Pono Kai especially the walking trail right out front. My wife and I were in bldg. A 4/19-4/26 we walked every morning along the ocean through town. The trail is concrete so there are people walking, running or biking on the same path but it is uncrowded. The resort in centrally located in Kapaa so you can explore either the north shore/Princeville area or the south Poipu area with ease. There are plenty of restaurants right outside the resort, Ono Family Rest. is just about 100 ft. from the side entrance. The Pono Kai is not a 5 star resort but is a nice place that won't break the bank.

from our garden view room, we actually had a partial ocean view from the patio -- what a nice surprise. the room was clean and comfortable. the kitchen quite large and well furnished. the grounds are well cared for, the service staff was 100% fabulous the entire week we were there. my only complaints were VERY minor -- 1) could hear a little bit of noise from the next room, and 2) i wish the hot tub and pool were open a little bit later than 10 pm (they strictly enforce the hours). very highly recommended!!
