Just got back from a lovely trip... Ok it looks like the wbsite photos if you squint your eyes and turn your head sideways, but we had a newly remodeled room with tile shower and new marble sink and new faucet, a 2 room suite great for a family of 5, the pool was heated and fun. The breakfast was GREAT! It was homemade and made to order pancakes and eggs and toast. Coffee was good, not great. There is a Walgreens on the corner and a strip club next to that but everything is close there are lots of homeless in Cali, but we didn't find them scary just people down on their luck. We would stay again Loved the Zoo and La Jolla cove wish is would have been warmer

I would never stay at this hotel again, certainly not with children. My son's socks were black on the bottom. The rooms may have been nice once upon a time, but they are filthy dirty and very run down. It was very noisy until about 4am. The breakfast was not great, made in a small room with no seating and had a line out to the pool. Very expensive for a poor quality "suite". Also, parking at this hotel is a nightmare!
