Our welcome was less than impressive - wrong room (double, not twin) had been booked despite a message on my booking and a telephone call. The receptionist did not smile or appear enthusiastic about her job at all. The room was large (2 double beds) and had a spacious bathroom with shower and bath. The main problem with the room (and indeed the rest of the hotel) was that it was too hot! Delicious food in the restaurant - sea bass was superb. Chocolate fondant was overcooked and sent back. There was a good choice at the buffet breakfast but the English breakfast food was disappointing - scrambled eggs were overcooked and sent back, the second time they were just about ok. The waiter and waitress were rather miserable. Good value for B & B but could do with some staff training and better ventilation.

This flat is a real let down and the owners are really wasting the potential of the place. It has lovely views over the harbour and is a really good size, with a large lounge/Dining room, a big Kitchen, three double bedrooms and two good size bathrooms, one of which is a shower room with a WC in it. Sadly the positives have to end there as its very shabby and in places dirty. The bedroom we were in (directly off the lounge) was drafty with some strange cubby hole in the wall being the main source of the draft. The problem being it was at the end of the bed right by your head, not well planned. There was nowhere in the room to hang anything up, so suits/dresses etc had to be hung up in the walk in wardrobe off the master bedroom. It could do with better sound proofing for when they have events on in the hotel downstairs. All in All not a good place to stay, which is a real pity because it has the location and potential, size wise, to be very nice but it's the opposite of that at the moment. It only got a two because of the view, any other location it would be lucky to get a 1.
