Clarion Hotel - Bristol, USA 

We decided to take the kids on a surprise trip when school eneded..... ..We have always wanted to go to Lake Compunce Amusement park. I looked on line for the closest hotel. The pictures on the website looked good. I booked the park package. At first the hotel seemed really nice......When we got back to the room from the park we had the a/c on and we had it on high and it was as noisy as can be...........we had to lower it.......We were also entitled to the breakfast buffet that was included with the package and when we went to eat I was shocked.....there was little to no food...(don't know how they can call it a buffet) we had dirty silverware and there is just nothing good to say about it. I was standing in the parking lot and I saw some kind of rodent run out from the bushes. At check out I tried to tell the desk clerk of our problems and she wanted nothing to do with it she just kept telling me ok.......park was good...hotel not so good.

This is a well-kept property located off the beaten track and near both Lake Compounce Amusement Park and the headquarters for ESPN. Nice, friendly lobby with a restaurant and cocktail lounge. Also a business center and collection of vending machines. The property also features a health club and an indoor swimming pool. Parking is plentiful and on-site. The rooms are modestly decorated and the views leave a little to be desired but for a moderately-priced, out-of-the-way hotel, this Clarion was a pleasant surprise.
