Travelodge Inn & Suites Pensacola - Pensacola, USA     

We are seniors traveling on a budget. My handicapped wife and I stayed in room #227, a 1st floor drive-up, king bed, non-smoking room on Sunday, April 4, 2008 booked through Trip Rewards utilizing an Elite Rewards voucher instead of what would have been a $65.22 total senior rate. This was one of eleven motels in which we stayed on our 25 day trip. Our pre-arrival and arrival experience was without problem and, as our reservations were in order, check-in went quickly and smoothly. The appearance of the exterior and lobby of this motel are very nice, clean and well maintained. Parking directly in front of the room facilitated movement of our baggage. The room was large and clean as were the bathroom and vanity but there was a lingering odor of smoke in this non-smoking room. Smoking was probably encouraged by the fact that there were ashtrays and matches in the Non-Smoking Room. The bed was comfortable. The wall plugs, lighting, fixtures and appliances (there was a fridge and microwave in the room) all functioned properly and were clean. All plumbing worked well and the water pressure and drainage were very good. The room had somewhat dim lighting but was laptop computer and workspace friendly. The room was semi-quiet, as much as can be expected from a ground floor room fronting onto parking. Safety precautions were in place although there was a slight problem with the magnectic key function. A very, very meager coffee, juice, cereal, cookies/bagels/donuts breakfast is offered in an open breakfast area. Check-out was easy and without problem and our billing was accurate. I would consider this an above average budget motel experience. I would RECOMMEND this motel to travelers and we would definitely stay here again.

When I first arrived on the property it was 2 a.m. and I was met at the door by an exeptionally friendly young man who offered to help carry my luggage, after checking in I found out there was no elevator the gentleman at the front desk carried my things up the stairs. The hotel was in wonderful shape. During my week stay I found the Staff to be curtious and caring of my needs. Obviously, one of the finest hotels in pensacola is this Travelodge.
