TripTake Traveler Reviews
June 7, 2008
Most interactions with the staff were great, from check-in to check-out, except for the staff’s nonchalant attitude about several unavailable amenities. All requests were met quickly, courteously, and professionally.
The hotel website lists the following as services and amenities:
Heated indoor pool
Hot-tub
Spa
Free on-site parking
Free wired or wireless high-speed internet
Local information/sightseeing desk (seasonal)
24 hour fitness center.
Arcade
Coin operated laundry
Laundry/dry cleaning service
Room service
Out of these advertised services the heated indoor pool,
the hot-tub, the spa, the 24 hour fitness center, and the coin operated laundry were unavailable due to renovations; however the staff did advise that arrangements had been made for the use of the pool and self-service laundry facilities at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, which was over 2 blocks away. We were advised (upon making the reservation over a month earlier) that the pool was under construction and that it would be finished prior to our arrival.
On our first night there we decided that if some of the amenities we would be utilizing were at the Crowne Plaza that we might as well stay there and save ourselves quite a bit of inconvenience. Unfortunately the Crowne Plaza was completed booked for that night; however we made a reservation for the next day and the rest of our stay in Niagara Falls.
I'm sure this will be a nice hotel once the renovations are complete.
stayed here when it was still called four points by sheraton. the room i got was clean and well maintained. the beds were comfortable. the thing i didn't like was the location of the room. it was in the third floor as i remember and the large window overlooked the roof of the swimming pool and an adjacent wall, so despite being near the falls, i didn't get a good view. nonetheless, everything else was good.
regarding the location, it was good and close to the falls, but it's not an important advantage as most of the hotels in the area were in close proximity and a walking distance to the falls.
overall, i had a good experience there
