Travelers Beware

Front desk lectured for 10 minutes on how you waste money using online booking,. He then proceeded to state I had 6 reservations--unsure why multiple, only to tell me I was 6 minutes late for cancelling, so must pay for 6 rooms in order to stay. I advised that they needed to be cancelled as I only needed 3 rooms, he said that was not his problem and since it was past time I had to pay--in cash. I showed the confirmation I had for room rental, left this hotel to find a reputable one that was not going to get cash from me also, and repeat my reservations. I would caution all to beware of financial dealings at this location. I also caution that if the person does not know what I paid how he can ecture how much I could save by doing the work myself in making reservations direct. During a time of family tragedy, the last thing I needed was lecturing and people trying to rip me off. The Weatherford Medical Center is probably a big reason people would visit Weatherford, and I would caution the recption you receive adds to the misery.

The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff very accommodating and friendly. The continental breakfast was not real extensive, but suited us just fine.

The Econoline Hotel offered us a place to stay while visiting our daughter. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff very accommodating and friendly. We had a coffee pot, refrigerator, and microwave oven. The continental breakfast was not real extensive, but suited us just fine. Best of all, it was close to our daughter's home, so we could spend time with her family rather than traveling back into Lake Worth for hotel accomodations.
