Hotel 373 Fifth Avenue - New York City, USA 

The room was small, but very comfortable, no closet to hang suits etc. I stayed one night on business, good amenities, no minibar. They did bring an iron when asked. Good location to get around from, great price for quick one night business trip if you don't need services. The starbucks is a busy location with long lines so leave time to grab breakfast and still make your meetings on time. Free internet service great to check email etc from your room. Bathroom was great, nice aveda supplies. Bed comfortable. New and very clean. Would stay again. Strictly enforce the 3:00 pm check-in which was a bit of a hassle, but they kept my luggage til I got back from meetings.

My husband and I spent one night at 373 on a recent jaunt to NYC, and we overjoyed by the experience. The room was very reasonably priced, and the hotel is brand new (I think it opened fall 2006). The room was nicely furnished -- modern decor, flat screen tv, radio with ipod docking station,and we loved that they had Aveda toiletries in the bathroom -- and very clean. We booked a "petite queen" room, and it was pretty small (about 10 by 12), but the price was right. I have stayed at places twice the price with little more room -- you really can't expect to get a huge room in NYC, and this size was fine for what we were using it for (sleeping and showering). The bed was really comfy -- pillowtop mattress and down comforter. All the stuff you expect in a boutique hotel, at half the price. The staff was very friendly and accommodating -- they gave us a great little street/subway map that was indispensable and answered all our questions about the city eagerly. The hotel is located in Midtown right on 5th and 35th -- close to Grand Central, Theatre District, shopping. There are two subway stops within a few blocks (4-5-6 at Park and 33rd, and the PATH train at 6th and 33rd), so it's central and easily accessible to the rest of the city. The hotel is a little hard to find -- there was no sign that i could see. The small lobby is almost indistinguishable from the adjoining Starbucks -- glass doors separate the two. The hotel lobby's entrance is just north of the corner on 5th. Overall, we were very happy with 373 and will definatley be staying there on our next trip to NYC.
