The resort and its facilities:

Probably built around the XIII century, the Castello di Montegridolfo reopened its gate under the ancient tower standing above the entrance to the Borgo Antico (the Ancient Village) in 1994, after a complicated and careful restoration which lasted about 6 years.

In the Borgo Antico, the aristocratic Palazzo Viviani offers 8 individually styled rooms, all furnished with antiques, and wide common lounges to be enjoyed in absolute freedom, such as the Room of the Large Fireplace or the Reading Room.
In the splendid gardens of Palazzo Viviani, besides the swimming-pool (open from June to September), you find the Casa del Pittore (The Painter’s Home), housing a further 7 romantic rooms and the Sala dell’Agrumaia, ideal for meetings and private parties.

Spread throughout the Borgo Antico are located also 8 spacious and comfortable rooms and suites. A few steps away, the Borgo Nuovo (the New Village), a new structure inaugurated in 2003 and built with traditional materials and techniques, offers an additional 30 rooms and suites, as well as a modern meeting centre (up to 400 seats) for workshops and conferences.
