Address: Second Avenue,

The Claremont details:
Elegant, comfortable and stylish hotel rooms combined with intuitive and discreet levels of customer care combine to give you the ultimate in an enhanced stay experience. Visit Britain has awarded us the city's first 5 star grading for guest accommodation and we are also licensed for civil partnerships and weddings. Housed in a Victorian Villa with a hidden walled garden all our en-suite rooms amaze and delight our guests through a combination of traditional features and individual design.
There's old-style glamour in the original chequered flooring, high ceilings and ornate chandeliers of this quiet Victorian villa, but recent refurbishment adds a modern twist: contemporary furnishings in rich colours. The work of local artists is showcased here, giving the hotel a distinctive feel.
The 11 rooms vary in size and colour, from cosy and functional single rooms to almost palatial four-poster bed deluxe rooms, decorated in regal red. Even the more compact rooms feel uncluttered.
Full English breakfast or vegetarian alternatives are taken in a traditional and homely dining room - Radio 2 plays in the background.

Location
The city of Brighton and Hove is a bustling year round seaside resort crammed full of unique shops, restaurants and entertainment venues standing side by side with a plethora of historic buildings that deserve to be explored.
The city also plays host to conferences throughout the year; is home to the month long festival in May each year; and with London just 55 minutes away by regular train service, Brighton is an ideal destination of the South. With the sea and glorious beaches in front and the South Downs behind, the city has something to offer everyone.
Rooms
Each of the rooms, ranging from a stylish single room to a spacious four-poster room, is decorated and furnished in an impressive, welcoming and relaxing fashion. Guests here often comment on the home away from home atmosphere, and it's those little extras that help to contribute to the ambience.
The beds are comfortable with white cotton bed linen, vibrant throws and cushions. Some of the en suite bathrooms are new with stone floors and plush new shower units, others are slightly older, but all are clean and smart with aromatherapy toiletries, plump white towels and waffle-effect bathrobes. Some rooms are also equipped with a DVD and VCR players.

Have just spent a weekend at The Claremont. Great little hotel for a weekend break. Exceptionally clean. Had a single room which was fairly small, but had everything you needed. Quite a walk into Brighton main town, but a nice walk if weather is good. Staff extremley helpful and polite

We were in Brighton for a wedding and having booked a hotel and then reviewed tripadvisor we decided to change to The Claremont. We found the hotel great and met all our needs for the weekend, it is close enough to the city centre that one can walk but also far enough away that it is quiet and secluded
