Tingis - Paris, France 

I have never complained about a hotel before but this time it is necessary! I feel obliged to warn you. Firstly, there is no lift. So please consider this if you have young children or very big/heavy bags that need to go up a very narrow staircase to the 4th floor! The worst was definitely the size of our room! The space around the bed towards the wall was no more than half a metre. And there was also no wardrobe to hang our clothes or store our luggage. Our suitcases were small (hand luggage size) but had to go in the narrow passage towards the door. This made it very uncomfortable to climb over the suitcases and also very limited space to stand/walk/change. The bathroom was also very small! My husband could barely get into the shower! The room was incredibly cramped! My clothes stayed creased since we had to keep them in the suitcases – no other room shelf/cupboard/hanging area! Also no hairdryer, shampoo packets, kettle or any coffee making facilities. The pillows were also very flat. Definitely no room service and no information inside the room (i.e., what the rates are for the phone, what the number is for reception, when to check out etc) The other important thing was that the rooms were not very sound proof at all!(plaster board walls) We could hear exactly what the people next door were doing/saying/watching – this is very unpleasant when it feels like you neighbours are right in your room! Also, the first thing we noticed was a strong smell in the room when we arrived – and it stayed for 3 days! There are no facilities to have breakfast or any sort of lounge at reception. We felt so cramped in our room but could not even go to a lounge for some space and fresh air. We booked our room 3 months in advance but when we arrived they had the wrong date and thought we were coming the next day. Luckily it was sorted. Will definitely not stay here again! I don’t know where they get the lovely pictures of the spacious rooms on the internet, but it certainly was not ours! The only nice thing about the hotel was the decor which was done tastefully. And even though the hotel was very dissapointing, we still loved our second trip to Paris and will return, but not to this hotel!! Whatever you do, do NOT book this hotel.
