For a Three Star Hotel we were pleasantly surprised with the helpful and friendly staff (Family Run) and excellent evening meal (four course) home cooked. The Hotel was spotlessly clean with clean linen every day. Boats, cable car near by,twenty minutes pretty walk from main part of Stresa. So many Kodak moments! Only down side were the trains running along the valley and local disco on Saturday night, otherwise would recomend.

This hotel entirely exceeded my expectations. The staff were invariably friendly and helpful, and the meals - while not cordon bleu - were excellent. The restaurant manager always suggested decent wines to go with the meals. I am a vegetarian and the usual option was an omelette, but he over-rode this and asked the chef to prepare alternatives, even though I hadn't requested any. There were six of us in my party and none of us could fault the service, the food and the cleanliness of this hotel. I would recommend it to anyone. It is a little way out of Stresa itself, very close to the cable car to Mottarone, and about ten minutes walk into town. But the walk is along the beautiful lakeside, and we found that this added to the hotel's charm.
