Take a stroll along the palm tree-lined promenade right into the centre of the ancient town of Roses and stop off at one of the many bars and cafés and enjoy the sea-view. The beach is fantastic and ideal for sunbathing. The network of navigable canals which enable boat owners to set to sea from moorings at the bottom of their gardens make this a truly unique area. The nightlife is international and offers a wide variety of different attractions.

The Hotel Marbella is for those travelling on a budget. The hotel is situated not far from the beach though away from the centre of Roses. The staff are friendly and the reception areas and public rooms are welcoming and clean. There is a small pool. However the rooms are extremely basic and a bit worn giving more of a feeling of hostels from school trips. Similarly the restaurant, for those on half or full board, reminds me of the school canteen. In summary it is cheap but I have the feeling for a little more money you can find a lot better accomodation.
