Quality Hotel Marina - Vedbaek, Denmark 

The Quality Hotel Marina first of all is not in Copenhagen, but in Vedbaek, which 25' by train from the Danish capital. Vedbaek itself is pretty and this coastline is delightful. The hotel is situated just across the road from the sea front, but I don't think there are rooms with view as I have been there three times and I was never offered one (having said so, there is a main road along the coast, so any room with sea view would necessarily be noisy). The rooms are of reasonable size and quite clean, but mostly much in need of refurbishment. For example, the grouting in the bathrooms is well past its sell-by date, carpets are worn out and some of the fitting, though obviously always well maintained, have simply seen too many guests and are screaming for a replacement. The public areas are better, there is a small bar by reception and breakfast offers a good selection, but by no means spectacular. Staff are friendly and helpful, especially bar staff. All in all, clean, comfortable, but definitely in need of refurbishment. By the way, if you visit Vedbaek and want a good restaurant go across the main road from the hotel to the Italian restaurant (La Vela), food is terrific, service is excellent and if the weather is nice you can sit outside, on the sea-front terrace - the view is stunning.
