Schloss Lutgenhof - Dassow, Germany
Address: Ulmenweg 10,
Dassow, 23942
Schloss Lütgenhof is situated in a nature conservation area by lake Dassower See in Dassow, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. It is located just 25 kilometres from Lübeck and 8 kilometres from Travemünde (via the Priwall Peninsula). The hotel is also just a stone's throw from Timmendorf and from the beach and casino in Travemünde. 10 kilometres north of Dassow you will find one of the most beautiful beaches on the Baltic Sea coast, a vast stretch of which you are guaranteed to enjoy almost to yourself. From Pötenitz to Rosenhagen, from Barendorf to the lookout tower in Großklützhöved on Wismar Bay: a wealth of unspoilt nature surrounds you. This is a paradise for all those longing to breathe in the Baltic Sea breeze.
The Stepenitz, a small river, runs directly behind the castle and opens out into the Dassower See, which joins the Baltic Sea. The patio of the castle bistro offers a wonderful view of the river and the adjacent nature reserve.
To the west lies Lübeck, Travemünde and Timmendorfer Strand; to the east you can pass through Grevesmühlen to reach Wismar, which is just 47 kilometres away. A 30-minute drive takes you to Wismar Bay and the historic port of Wismar (a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site since 2002).
22 kilometres south of Dassow you find Ratzeburg, and Mölln a little further along. Here you can visit the nature parks, nature reserves, lake Ratzeburger See and the numerous small, idyllic lakes surrounding it.
