We stayed here during the World Cup and have to say that we will never stay here again. As soon as we arrived, the owner tried to charge us an extra €100 by saying he had moved us to a "better, bigger, quieter" room. We had booked a standard room including breakfast but this new room was more expensive and we had to pay extra if we wanted breakfast! We had no choice but to pay the extra amount. The room had two single beds attached to either side of the room and a small bathroom. No other facilities were available such as tea/coffee, hairdryer, safe, etc. The weather was very hot and there was no fan in the room or air conditioning of any kind. The windows therefore had to be open while we were in the room. Outside the window was a bell tower that chimed every 15 minutes 24 hours a day, a beer garden, school playground and a main road so I'm not sure how this was supposed to be a "quiet" room. It was impossible to sleep due to the heat and noise. We tried breakfast once and were offered ham, cheese and rolls. No hot food was available and, for €6 each a time, it was cheaper and better to eat elsewhere. We were on the second floor of the hotel (more a B&B actually) and there are no lifts. This meant carrying suitcases up very steep rickety stairs so this hotel is not for anyone elderly, disabled or unable to carry heavy items. The location of the hotel is very good, being a short train/tram ride to the centre of Stuttgart and having local shops, off licence, restaurants, etc on your doorstep. The location is the only good thing about this hotel.
