We stayed a few days in october and could not believe our luck when we saw this hotel. Had checked reviews beforehand on trip advisor but we were still surprised at the quality of the room which was large and had a bathroom to die for. The restaurant had superb food and the staff could not be more helpful. We left here and stayed in holiday inn in krakow but it seemed very ordinary by comparison. You just have to stay here if you visit Zakopane

I was given room 3 on the ground floor which was very quiet and had 2 walls of windows which made the room very light. It was a nice big square room with very high ceilings. There was a TV in a cabinet opposite the bed with Sky News and CNN as the only English language channels. There was a sofa, airchair and coffee table as well as a desk. The bathroom had a heated floor, a big bath and quite a good shower head. The sink was a pedestal style sink. There was a lobby area with a light that only came on if you moved every 20 seconds which was rather irritating and a cupboard with a small safe.
The breakfast was extensive - good spread of different cereals, breads and cold meats, stuffed eggs and meats etc. And you could have a cooked breakfast to order.
The hotel was helpful in organising taxis or guides to show you around and arranged a airport transfer for me for 350 zlt. A bus opposite the hotel will take you to Krakow in about 2 hours and costs 15 zlt.
The set up was much smoother, more efficient, more cosy, comfortable and welcoming than the Grand Hotel Stamary across the road which has a lot to learn.
