0Desk staff were efficient and friendly; the room was quite spacious, comfortable bed, view of the Capitol from my window. Everything was spotless, plenty of hot water in the shower. The only drawback of the whole place was that for me, the air conditioning was never quite cold enough. It wasn't terrible, but I could have used a little bit more horsepower.
You pay $20 a day to park in their underground garage, which is quite reasonable for DC. The hotel is just minutes from Reagan National, the Capitol, the Mall, etc. I drove to a restaurant near the White House and was there in about 10 minutes.
There is a nice pool with a very lively (that is, noisy) pool party in the afternoon, so either get a room on the north side of the building or don't plan on an afternoon nap.
There are 2 computers off the lobby for the convenience of guests. They are occupied by bored teens surfing the web, but if you sit and stare at them, they will eventually go away.
A free shuttle leaves regularly from the hotel entrance to take guests to the Capitol, the Mall, and other sightseeing spots; however, you have to find your own way back. There is no metro very near the hotel, but a cab ride from Union Station was only $6.50.
There is a MacDonald's just a stone's throw from the front door, where you can get breakfast. Nobody speaks English there, but you can get your hotcakes and sausage, orange juice, coffee, etc.
There is a fitness center, though I never used it.
The hotel is good for individuals, families, you name it. Prices are *very* reasonable for DC, the facility is clean and comfortable, and I would definitely stay there again.
