The Madison Hotel's service was excellent, with extremely prompt response in meeting all my needs. The food was also excellent as well. The bedding was very comfortable (which oftentimes is not the case even in a good hotel), and the ambiance of the hotel in general and the room in particular made for a very pleasant stay.
We Stayed here 2 nights and from the minute we got there and the bellman took our luggage and the valet took my car, it was an awesome experience. Everyone was very nice and cheerful, and bent over backwards to do whatever we needed. When we got there, my kids and I had left something in the car and they retrieved my car let me get my things and reparked it for me. Breakfast was very expensive and was not that good, but the room was plush and comfortable, with a massage chair. The staff was even attentive to my 7 year old. It was overall a wonderful experience.

Extremely friendly and helpful hotel staff. Very comfortable rooms and beds, nice and quiet. Good location in proximity to major DC monuments and the Verizon Center. In a safe neighborhood with Metro stations closeby (5 min walk). Dining options somewhat pricey but food quality very good. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.
We just got back from a spring break getaway. This is a very nice hotel and close to a lot of site seeing areas. It is about three blocks from the metro, a short walk, but you get hit up a lot by panhandlers. The hotel is very nice and the staff were always accomodating. Housekeeping shorted us one glass one day and they quickly sent someone up with another one. There were only two things I did not like, the internet access was very expensive at 13 bucks a day. I have stated in less expensive chain hotels that provided free wireless in the room, so I left the laptop at home. I missed the net a lot as we wanted to plan our next day and research the places we had been. The next was ice, this sounds like a small thing, but there were no ice machines anywhere. If you want ice, you have to call room service and it would take 15 minutes or more to get it. One night they lost my ticket, so I called and the manager himself brought it up. The food was very pricey in the one resturaunt as was room service, so we ate off property. There were several places to eat close by. Our favorite stop was just down the street at Cosi's, they bake their own bread and it was good. We also liked the Post Pub just around the corner. An old place, but good food and cold beer. There was also a liqour store two blocks down, much better than paying 9 bucks for a 2 oz bottle from the mini bar. Overall it was a nice place to stay.
This was a great hotel. Our room was above a large A/C unit but they were happy to move us to a street facing room. Great service and very close to the mall and the White House. The beds were very comfortable
