We stayed at this hotel for two nights as part of a coast to coast tour of the States by rail. It was one of our favourite hotels of the entire trip. Our bedroom was very comfortable with a lovely high bed. We ate in the Irish bar which is part of the hotel and the food was of a very high standard. The staff were always friendly and polite. The hotel is in a very good location, just across from Union Station. I would thoroughly recommend it.

What a complete surprise. We took an overnight trip from NYC where our hotel was "passable" (for NYC). But when we arrived here WOW. It was just my 18 year old daughter and myself and the gorgeous king sized bed was so comfortable that we NEVER wanted to leave the room. I got the room from Hotwire for only $89 and didnt expect much. The decor was absolutely beautiful, staff was fine, checkin easy , and LOCATION was AMAZING!! just 1 block from Union Station where all the tours leave/return from. we arrived late and just walked about 3-4 blocks to the capital right behind us. it was so lovely - We ordered the breakfast in the morning from room service (something I NEVER DO- did it mostly to save time) and I couldnt have been happier. it was 14.99 each and we EASILY could have shared only one breakfast. It was a traditional Irish breakfast with bacon eggs, potatoes, sausage and positively te most delicious huge slices of Irish soda bread I have ever had. Neither of us could have finished- and were sad because it was so delicious. The only thing I would say the hotel should consider - is (at least in the KING rooms) is an extra table - it was hard to sit on the bed and eat- but really I dont have any complaints. beautiful beautiful hotel - and truly delicious food.
