Service was inconsistent. Attempted to check in before 3:00 and some people were being checked in and others were being told to come back at 3:00. TV did not work and it took the seoond day to get it repaired. Valerie, sales manager, was very responsive to problems and resolved them. This was an unusually busy time for them during the Presidential Inauguration. The price was especially good for that time.

Several negative comments on this hotel on a number of advisory sites. Hotel had apparently been taken over by Comfort Inn recently and all is clean, although perhaps a little tired. Hotel is in a dead area, so if you want to do anything, you will either have to take a car or a taxi. The bus is an option, but it took an hour to get to the National Mall buy bus and Metro. A quick hack ride to the nearest Metro (about a mile away and $8) gets you to downtown in about 15 minutes. If you don't mind the extra hassle/cost of getting downtown, the hotel is a fairly good deal. My next trip however, will be staying at a hotel very close to the metro line.

I don't want to even rate this hotel because it isn't even worth one little dot. Oh my god- what a hell hole! Nightmare. I would encourage nobody to book there. We arrived at the station after travelling from NYC only to be informed that this hotel had actually been shut down weeks earlier. I thought it was a joke at first, but when we arrived there by taxi (after driving through nightmarish, run-down neighbourhoods) we were told by a really rude man on reception that the hotel was closed for remodelling. No one had informed us and we booked through hotels.com months earlier, who I will never EVER use again. The staff we saw were incredibly rude and evaisive and we eventually found out that we had actually been relocated (thankfully) to another hotel miles away which was a Holiday Inn and so much nicer, otherwise our time spent there would have been spent fearing for our lives. We didn't see any prostitutes or drug dealers, but we were there in the daytime only. I dread to think how bad it would be at night and I truly didn't feel safe in that area. This hotel is the worst I have ever seen, just from the general exterior and surrounding area alone. There are no amenities nearby other than a garage. Luckily I did not have the good fortune of actually entering any of the rooms. I pity those who did.

2 days in the Hotel. The rooms of President Inn are great, just what I needed... Excellent for the traveller who does not want to complicate things. They always have a coffee bag, coffee maker and the works ready every time they clean the room. A friendly and competent reception as well as a decent breakfast makes the stay comfortable. --- Ottimo posto per chi ? di passaggio. Le camere sono molto spaziose, lo staff gentile e disponibile. Non propriamente in centro, con il taxi (15 dollari) o con il bus ci si arriva abbastanza comodamente. Consigliato!
