We woke up to bed bugs!!!!! There were dozens of them crawling in our bed. The management said nothing when we called. They sent 2 men up who saw all the bugs and they said nothing. We never even got an apology. I called the hotel owner and he said he would only charge us half price for the room. I have pictures of the bugs.

Good manager she was very reasonable-I would stay again

There were many mishaps the night I stayed, July 26, 2007. I was traveling with three dogs, only one is a service animal. So it was a little difficult to vacate the room when the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. On the other hand it really helped that I was in a room on the ground floor. The room had moisture issues that messed with a health issue. Amidst the chaos of the fire trucks, fire alarms, flashing lights and keeping three dogs calm I was unable to request a different room. The manager made an adjustment on my final bill, to compensate me for my trouble.<br><br>It was a good place to stay with dogs, level area to walk them. There were several restaurants within walking distance. Very easy access to I-81 to resume my trip.

My husband and I spent two nights in the Travelodge at Winchester, Va. The Friday night of Aug 31 and Tuesday night Sept. 4. We were traveling to see our first grand child in New Jersey and needed to break up our trip due to back problems. The location was our first reason for scheduling our stay there, but our experience made it a positive that we will continue to stay there during our many trips to N.J. to see our grand-daughter. We enjoyed the clean rooms and the accomidations such as microwave, fridge, coffee maker, and hair dryer provided in room. The staff was very considerate to our needs to have directions to restaurants and other shopping. The breakfast provided was very nourishing and got us well up the road before we had to stop again.
