This Ritz does not allow children in the pool between 10 am and 7 pm, caring more about its spa visitors than its hotel guests. As a result, during a Thanksgiving visit to the area, I struggled to find indoor entertainment for my 10 and 12 year neices, while it was cold outside and the pool remained empty. I'd expected a relaxing trip, during which I could enjoy the much hyped spa area (with steam, sauna, whirlpool and pool) and play in the pool with the girls.

We enjoyed every minute of our two day stay. Staff were friendly and the rooms were great. Very comfortable beds and all of the small touches you expect from a stay at a Ritz Carlton. We will be back.

"I stayed here for 4 nights and was upgraded to the club level which is superb if you've never experienced it. The staff remembered us throughout the hotel and always address us by name. The restaurant was phenomenal, and received a James Beard award recently. My room service experience was above average. Really convenient to shopping but a little ways out of downtown DC. Free Shuttle or driver takes you to shopping areas and mass transit. "
