Got there late on Saturday night, Thanksgiving weekend. Hotel was not crowded and was upgraded to a MAGNIFICANT suite. Those people working that weekend (checked out Monday morning) were the nicest I have met and certainly exhibited all that is great about Marriott. Only problem is that there was no Wifi in room (I hate being tethered to a desk)
I had my wedding reception at this Marriott in July. Now, in November, I am still dealing with disputes about charges that were wrongfully made on my card. This place is pricey to begin with, but now they are charging my $5500 that I do not owe. On top of that, one of our meals that we were promised was never brought out, the servers were rude to our guests, and we lost an hour of our dancing time because they took to long to bring us into the room and were very behind on dinner. STEER CLEAR!!!!! I wouldn't wish a wedding reception here on my worst enemy!

my family stayed here the night before my sisters wedding. first of all it was the best deal ever and was right in this area with a ton of shops and restaurants right there! of course getting out of the room to go anywhere was difficult enough, the bed was so comfortable i was practically pulled off of it! we loved staying here so much we actually came back a few weeks ago even though we live in philadelphia and we had no real reason to go to DC.
Too far away from downtown Bethesda, squeezed in between NIH and the beltway. Very inconvenient location. Room was clean and quiet. Food at the restaurant is very price and below average quality (steak was ordered medium-rare, it arrived nearly well done with way too much salt in the sauce, vegetables were essentially raw).
