My wife is allergic to feathers, the staff response was immediate and complete. The room was as advertised clean, spacious and quiet. The food and service at the in house restaurant was good though the prices were a little high.
The rooms were spacious, charming and clean. But the heat/air system had been deliberately turned off for "the season" (we were there in mid-May!); the toilet did not flush properly, towels and robes were not replaced when removed for launderimg; food in the restaurant was awful; drinks in the bar were watered down so as to be unpalatable; staff were rude; room/parking keys did not work; newspapers could not be delivered to room as requested; cable line-up was riduculously scant for this day and age; use of personal computer required a $13 daily fee, and all requests for fixes of these items were met with surly and unresponsive service. NOTHING COULD GET US BACK HERE AFTER SIX DAYS OF AWFUL SERVICE.

We've stayed at this hotel four times in six years (family at retirement facility in the area) and had not had an unsatisfactory experience before. But this year, was a revelation -- the worst kind. Rooms are spacious, pleasant and clean. BUT: the food in the restaurant was awful, inedibly salty. Drinks in the bar were skimpy on ice, with diluted mixers, and undetectable alcohol. The desk could not once in five days get the requested newspaper delivered to our room, although it was piled at the front desk. Towels and robes were removed daily but not replaced. When I asked for replacements, 20 minutes later an unsorted unfolded damp pile of jumbled towels and robes, torn and without belts, and utterly unuseable was delivered. Room/parking keys expired in the middle of our stay, notwithstanding confirmed reservations, and staff were unpleasant about re-programming as necessary. Directions by front desk staff to local retailers were wrong. Televisions are old-fashioned table-tops, small screens, only ONE premium channel -- not even full basic cable. Movie offerings -- even for pay -- were so limited we might have been in the backwaters of Arizona, rather than the hub of a major metropolitan area. And $13 dollars a day to use our own laptop. Worst of all, sour sullen unwilling staff at every encounter. Trust me, you can do better than this almost anywhere else. We will not be back and we were glad to leave.
