This hotel is not far from the Metro (Foggy Bottom) and very near George Washington Univ. Medical Center. The staff were all polite and helpful. There is construction going on this summer, and the hotel's website does warn about it. So, if you don't mind a little construction, then you will be fine. The construction is needed to update the rooms which are a little worn. The Watergate complex is close by, and the Kennedy Center is within a short walking distance. In fact, we walked back to our hotel from the Lincoln Monument, and it took about 30 minutes or a little less. Would we stay here again? Sure.

I took a small troop of Girl Scouts to this hotel (just four girls and two adults). Our room had two queen beds and a queen sofa bed. The beds were very comfortable and the room was well appointed. We didn't hear any other guests at all when we were in our room. Towels were nice and thick and plentiful. It was great to have a kitchen, but they were very stingy with the dishes, flatware and pots and the pans were a joke. We managed to cook most of our simple dinners (like boxed mac 'n cheese, spaghetti, grilled cheese and tomato soup) and all of our breakfasts, but would have liked to have had an oven and better, more plentiful pots/pans. The kids loved the rooftop pool, and the staff was very accommodating. The pool was leaking to the pool room below, but rather than drain it and close it, they kept pumping the water - which we really appreciated. It would have been much easier for them to drain it. The location of this property is incredible! It is a block and a half from the Foggy Bottom metro station, two to three blocks from Safeway at the Watergate, and about five block from Trader Joe's. The neighborhood is so quiet, especially for such a large city. I don't remember hearing one siren from the hotel the whole week. We relied completely on public transportation, which was so convenient, so I don't know about parking. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.
