What Travellers Like

We arrived at the hotel at 9 am and the staff graciously allowed us to check in early. We had internet access and were in a corner room. Even though the hotel is on a busy corner, our room was very quiet. The deli across from the closest metro station has good little breakfast sandwiches.. Read review

When I arrived, I couldn't figure out how to get the free access to the Internet in my room. I called the front desk to get some help and within minutes, the front desk staff person was in my room and configuring my computer to allow me to get online. Room service is also very good (staff-wise) although room service selections are somewhat limited. The rooms are big enough with comfy king sized beds, seating area and a desk and chair to do work. Location is good although near some construction (you cannot hear it from your room though). The bar/restaurant downstairs was kind of loud and a bit busy for a hotel which wasn't great, but they do have a reasonably well equipped fitness facility. Excellent staff and overall great quality for the price.. Read review

The location is a definite plus, across the street from the Spy Museum and within walking distance of many Mall sights. It is about a block from a Metro as well. We had two beds with nice comfortable mattresses, better bedding than a comparable hotel, good strong hot shower, average bath amenities, clean well maintained room.. Read review

The hotel staff really made us feel at home. I can not remember all their names but EVERYONE from those at the front desk to the bellman to valet parking went above and beyond their job descriptions. Thanks to the hotel staff we found out about the Circulator bus line that for $3. You do have to switch buses to go around the museums but it was easy). We even took the Metro to Adams Morgan for dinner one night and that was a fun place, too! The pool is very small but does have an attached hottub. The rooms were perfect and very clean and the lobby was lovely but the staff was what made our vacation special.. Read review

I can honestly say that the other reviewers were correct when they said the location was wonderful. The location was amazing - only 1 block from the Chinatown/Gallery Place metro stop - super convenient to everything! The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were your 'standard' hotel size. The food and service were some of the best that we've ever had!. Read review

Exceptional service, esp from front desk staff. Lovely big room, with accessible bathroom. Everything very clean, breakfast buffet was excellent and very good value at under $15 for one person. Room was soundproof and hotel altho full was not noisy. Lots of restaurants nearby, from upscale McCormick & Schmick across the street to low budget Subway around the corner. Can't say enough good things about this hotel, the attitude of the staff is so exceptional. Obviously a lot of care goes into hiring & training by Marriott.
