From the start the hotel staff far exceeded my expectations with their courtesy, helpfulness, and with appropriate negotiation their willingness to meet my requirements. Despite its location at the busy corner of Mass Ave and 6th St NW I found my room to be quiet. I actually recommend a room on the corner for the city views. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. It was particularly cold while I was there and I found the room temperature comfortable and easy to control. The neighborhood around the convention center is a bit desolate but cabs are plentiful and the Metro is a five minute walk toward Chinatown.. Read review

It is only a short walk from the metro, and 10 mins from the Mall. Our room was clean, quiet, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless, with the shower having good pressure. The air conditioing was quiet and efficient. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfasts - where we had the choice of cooked meals or cereals/toast/fruit. The front desk service was efficient, and they looked after us when we asked for a slightly later check out time.. Read review

There was a small refrigerator in the room and a safe for valuables. The staff was superb, very professional and helpful. The bus goes right by the hotel, so we took it to the mall and back.. Read review

The staff was very helpful , the rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We had no problems with the hotel itself, just be watchful as you travel to the Metro and back. There is a CVS pharmacy across from the Metro station where you can get snacks, sodas and microwavable foods, ect. If you ride the Metro from National Airport be sure to get off at the Gallery Place-Chineatown exit and not Mt Vernon Sq. We had a great time in DC and it was so nice to have a nice bed to fall into after a day of sightseeing.. Read review

We had a great stay at this Hampton Inn location! The staff is great, accomodating our every need and just about each and every one of them had a distinct, charming personality. I'd like to commend the front desk staff for helping me out in every way, even though I didn't ask for much. I ended up needing some batteries at a weird time at night, and the guy at the front desk was very helpful, and they all suggested good spots to eat (ended up in Chinatown at Tony Cheng's) and hang out at (an Irish bar a few blocks away). The location is great, with GREAT restaurants within walking distance and some bars and nightclubs also easy to get to. 00 parking fee was a little steep, but worth it when it came down to it; one thing about DC is parking is always a pain, especially when it comes down to reading all of the signs they have posted on sections of curb and figuring out where/when you can park in certain places. The room was fantastic, the best part of the stay!. Read review

Enjoyed our stay. We have stayed at other Hampton Inn's one that stands out was in Baltimore, MD which sadly to say we DID NOT HAVE A GOOD experience. Loved this Hampton Inn in DC. Because of this stay Hampton Inn's have been redeemed in our eyes.
The hotel staff was very pleasant. Satisfaction guaranteed. "Valet parking only" is a bit of a hassle for us (there's a charge) because we had to get everything at once. The breakfast was just OK compared to other Hampton Inns we've stayed at (not hot enough.) It's about a one mile walk to the Capitol/mall museums, which is what we wanted to do. There are lots of affordable restaurants in the area, so the location was great. My children LOVED the pool/hot tub, especially after a VERY exhausting day at the Smithsonian museums. We were satisfied. We always choose Hampton because the breakfast is free and filling, making the hotel that much more economical. plus, we can get one room for two adults and three kids (all under 17.) We bring our own air mattress and they always give us extra linens. We will not even hesitate to choose this hotel again next year.

The hotel was in a fairly central location. The service was excellent although slow at check in. The bed was very comfortable as most Hampton Inn Hotels are. The breakfast was a bonus too, but more choice would have been nice.
