I've never stayed in a Holiday Inn before, and I think this is probably a cut above the average Holiday Inn. The rooms are clean, though outdated. A good 25% of the channels didn't work on our TV. The internet is free, but it's wired-only (the front desk has ethernet cables if you forget yours). It is far from Georgetown proper and the Metro, but the 30-line buses roll up and down Wisconsin Ave often so it's not that bad. It's also nice being a 3 minute walk from a CVS and a Whole Foods Market. When I checked in late at night they gave me a small room with just one queen sized bed. It had a great view, but I needed a double as my assistant was going to be joining me in a few days. When I went down to change rooms the next day, the clerk mentioned that that's their "Priceline" room and she would have to get approval from her manager to give me a better room. The manager gave me a better room without hesitation, but that's a first for me--I've never had a front desk clerk explicitly state that I was given a smaller/inferior room because I got my room thru priceline. I saw the same agent several times during my stay and she was always helpful, so I think this must be a hotel policy.

This hotel is better than your average Holiday Inn. Our room was spacious with a good king bed. Restaurant for breakfast was excellent. Facilities are good and staff is very helpful, especially for a city. The location in Georgetown is good although not right in the center of things. I would have preferred to stay closer to M St. but we did find 2 good restaurants for dinner within walking distance of the hotel.
