Hard Rock Hotel and Casino details: The best music venue, exclusive nightclub, and 4-star accommodations are all at the Hard Rock Las Vegas Hotel

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino contains a 3-acre water playground popular with the young and the hip and is located just 2 miles south of the Las Vegas Strip and Convention Center.

Guests at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino can gamble in the casino, catch headline performers at a major rock venue, and dance in a subterranean nightclub reminiscent of a British rock star’s living room. A three-acre water playground includes two connected sand-beach lagoon pools (open seasonally), a spiral-tunnel water slide, a grotto bar, and four roomy spa tubs. Three swim-up blackjack tables are available in addition to blackjack and craps tables located in a central gazebo. Thatched-roof cabanas with flat-screen televisions, phones, and ceiling fans are available for rent. Rock music provides a continuous soundtrack for all the action.

Insider tip: Thanks to underwater speakers, swimmers at the Hard Rock can hear music even when they are below the water’s surface.

Went with co-workers to the Hard Rock on Monday July 7th for a one night stay. I will think twice before I stay here again. This was my third time staying here and I am amazed at how run down it is looking. I was on the 9th floor and couldn't believe how dirty the carpet in the hallway was. When I got to my room the carpet was filthy and very worn. The doors that opened out to the pool would not shut properly and when the wind blew hard enough it would blow the doors open. This would not be a big deal if the air conditioner worked well. My room was hot through the night and didn't cool off until the morning. Worst bed I have ever slept on. If I had been staying more than one night this would have been an issue. On a positive note the bathroom was very clean. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone while the construction is going on. I was awakened at 3am to the clanging sound of steel. It is ridiculous that they are allowed to do construction all night long. I found the staff to be very friendly. At check-in they changed my room from a mountain view to a pool view without me asking. I checked in at 11am, headed out to the pool and my room was ready by 12:30pm. All dealers I spoke with were very nice. We ate at the Pink Taco and it was enjoyable. Some of my friends ate at the 24hr cafe after midnight and said the portions were huge and the food very good. I called two weeks ahead to reserve a pool Cabana. I was told I would be called back in a couple of hours. After not hearing from them for a week I had to initiate the call back. I was willing to accept this since the week of the 4th of July was coming up and I am sure they were swamped with phone calls. The Cabana was the way to go. Due to the construction the North pool did not open util 12:30. When it did open our Cabana was right next to the pool in a perfect spot. No extra tipping needed for this location (though that was implied when I made the reservation). The cost of the Cabana was a $500.00 food and drink fee (gratuity not included). Simply stated: we paid $500.00 and as we drank and ate it was deducted from that. I was with seven other guys and we went over the balance by $5.00 without needing to be concerned with how much we ate or drank. The cabana had two couches, plenty of towels, a television, a safe and a refrigerator. All in our group agreed it was a good thing to have. I would wait until after the construction is done before I stay here again. I was in Las Vegas two weeks before this trip and stayed at the Monte Carlo. Right next door to that hotel is a huge construction project (largest in vegas history I think) and they stopped at night. I'm hoping that after the new rooms are built at the Hard Rock they will give the original rooms some attention.

We stayed at the Hard Rock for a bachelorette party trip. We reserved adjoining rooms. We get up to our rooms and they are not adjoining. The front desk said to our faces that there were. We complained, then they said well there are no more rooms even next to each other. Nice, why did they lie to our faces? We look out the window of our room guess what the hotel is expanding there is construction going on, and its loud! Then the hotel alarm goes off its being tested for about 10 minutes. Thats great. The beds were nice and the rooms and shower were big enough. Nothing fancy, just minimal. The casino is tiny, which is why they are expanding. The party at the pool on Sunday is out of control. This is a definitely a party hotel, with lots of young people with their tops off and passed out in the hall way. This hotel is loud, if we didn't get the construction we would have got he pool view which is loud all day b because they play loud music at the pool. If you wouldn't like any of this then do not stay here. If you want to be loud and party all the time, then stay here. There are nice restaurants like Nobu, and Ago here, just take a taxi from a better hotel to have dinner, do not stay here. The people who work the front desk are slow and just act like they don't really care. There are some positives as well some service was nice, but the negative really out weighs the few positives at this hotel.
