I got a room with two double beds at the Adante for $73/night. It was just two blocks away and made for a much more fun experience -- the staff was very friendly, and the coffee shop next door (24 fps) made it an even better trip. If you're worried that the Adante is in the Tenderloin, don't -- it's in a fine neighborhood with a great little produce market and many ethnic (Middle Eastern, Chinese, and Indian) restaurants on the same block. The rooms were clean and quiet and had a fun, funky vibe that beats staying in a boring chain.. Read review

The hotel was clean and fairly comfortable, the location was good, very close to Union Square and the cable cars. The hotel service was okay, one day we went back to the hotel to take a nap and there were no sheets on our bed, still not sure why. This is a good deal in a city that has very few, so if you don't mind the fairly tacky decorating ( the mural at the front desk is beautiful, but the painting/mural in our room looked like it was done by a 6 year old ) Also, there are some very loud and inconsiderate people living in the complex next door. So if you are looking for quiet getaway, DO NOT STAY HERE! The cable car rides alone are worth it, as they are $3 each way! Other than that, there are many beautiful views to be seen, but the entertainment/food will never be as good as our home town Chicago.. Read review

We stayed at the Adante for three nights in late August 2004, and found the staff friendly, the rooms (small) but very comfortable, and the price a great value! We had booked online through a travel site, requesting a smoking room, and were surprised to learn that the entire facility (formerly a Quality Inn) was now non-smoking, but aside from that twist, we enjoyed the Adante thoroughly. The internet cafe in the Lobby had delightful coffee, and although we did not avail ourselves of it, the Adante offered a nice continental breakfast selection each morning.. Read review

The location was ideal near the theatres, the place felt warm and welcoming, the staff was always helpful. Moreover the beds were comfortable.

Central location near union square and nice hotel. Good service at desk, friendly manager without hesitation and decored as well inside the rooms as the hallways. A hot drink.
