The staff of this hotel are very friendly and helpful. We stayed for 3 nights and had a very good experience. We had a one bedroom suite street side. The street noise was not a problem as it quieted down around 11 pm each night. I have a back issue and most beds are a problem for me-not this one! The bed in this suite was the most comfortable bed that I have slept in at any hotel where I have stayed. The location also was perfect. It was in walking distance of many places to see and the public transportation was also very convenient to the hotel. Overall we had an excellent stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Fantastic location! 3 1/2 blocks from Powell BART exit. Easy to lug wheeled suitcase. Nicely renovated room. If the price is good - I'll be back!

this hotel was a wonderful surprise. the price was great, the location excellent and the rooms were very large and comfortable. it also has a good bar/restaurant. union square, shopping and the cable car are just steps away. the staff was very helpful in answering our questions. highly recommended.

This was a wonderful hotel! We stayed in the historical section of the hotel and it was beautiful. We were offered an upgrade to the more modern side of the hotel, but, were so glad we stayed where we were. Apparently, the hotel was rennovated and an older and newer hotel were joined together to make one hotel. The rooms were exceptionally clean, spacious, and wonderfully historic. There is a busy bar and grill attached to the hotel, the Warf is about a $9.00 taxi drive away, and, the hotel is in the heart of San Francisco's shoping and art gallery district. There are little cafes and deli's everywhere you look and the gateway to China town is about 5 blocks away. I am definitely planning to visit this hotel again!

Great Location

The location cannot be beat. The room was adequate, a bit on the small side, but who's hanging out in their room whey they're in San Francisco? We ate dinner at the bar in the restaurant, and it was very good. The room service breakfast was lacking, and I would go elsewhere for that.
