Great place to stay if you want to save some money without compromising on cleanliness, friendliness and location. Clean modern room, friendly office staff, wonderful housekeeping staff, a nice free breakfast- all in a very centrally located safe area. The city's biggest and best art supplies store FLAX is right next door and D'Alessio's is probably one of most interesting "urban" places for coffee, organic breakfast or lunch- next to FLAX. Caffee Trieste is just a block away- one of SF's more famous names for espressos, lattes, lunch, scones, etc. Huge big city feel to this place- the orginal being in North Beach. This motel is pretty big and the location is killer. The historic trolley line in out your front door as are several bus lines. Walkable to so many areas of interest. And lots of parking if youre driving. But every time we've been there we've opted for public transit... the easiest way to get around. No, Im not a professional travel writer- Im just a regular guy who is always VERY impressed with this Travelodge and this was our sixth time there in a few years and they never disappoint. It's not fancy but as I mentioned it doesnt really lack for much. No room service but the cafes are around the corner. Get out on the street and be adventurous!! This is a San Francisco great deal.

We were actually looking for an affordable stay in san francisco as we were here with friends to attend one of the music festivals. with the city so busy, we were very lucky to find this hotel who had accommodtions and were reasonably priced. the location was really good as it was close to market st and many of the bus lines as we didnt drive. we were a group of four friends and our room had 2 beds which was accommodated the four of us quiet easily. The room was well sized, had good enough furniture in it and the most important aspect that the beds were comfortable. the hotel also had free breakfast, which was our quick grab before we headed off to our day long tour of san francisco and the music festival later on that night. All in all, i guess we were pretty satisfied with this hotel and enjoyed our trip to san francisco ( the festival also rocked!)

The location is great! Parking is available at ten dollars extra. It is near buses and the subway. If you are like me, accustomed to long walks, there are great restaurants from the Castro to Chinatown. But if walking if not your first preferrence, then there are many public bus lines that are available as options. It is a slightly above average motel, inexpensive considering the amenities. This property is all about the location and good decent sized rooms. This hotel made me feel practical: The total costs were lower than they would be at the more upscale hotels. The room was as mentioned earlier: well sized and clean (important). Coffee, juice and packaged pastry were provided free in the morning (a good plus).
