Posted: Mar 26, 2011 - She and I have some pretty high standards when it comes to Motel Rooms. They gave us room 205 on the Lombard side of the Motel. Our plans were to stay overnight in Mendicino, CA on the way back (which is between Oregon and SF) and then drive to Oakland airport the next day, but because we enjoyed our stay here, we called Bob and asked him to reserve a room. Upon arrival, they already had extra pillows in the room and we didn't even ask for them. The rooms are decorated nicely and do not have any smoke or mildew odors, which is a common problem in the bay area. Our second room was room 212 which was on the backside of the Motel. One nice thing about the location is that it is within walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf and the Powell-Hyde Cable car turnaround.. Read review
Posted: May 30, 2006 - member - We booked a family suite (for 4) and got two interconnecting bedrooms (one king and the other 2 queens) and bathrooms, both beautifully furnished and equipped. It's in a good, safe location (10 -15 minutes walk from Fisherman's Wharf and 5 minutes to the bars and restaurants of Union Street) and has free parking. Hiten and his staff are all helpful, friendly and knowledgable and the complimentary danish and coffee breakfast is great to get you started on all that walking!. Read review
