Stayed one night as part of our Mazda MX5 European Tour. Booked through a website the previous day for a good rate. Many websites stated this hotel had a swimming pool and a gym. On arrival we discovered there was not and seemingly never had been. We were disapointed as were looking forward to a swim and had chosen the hotel over others due to its apparent swimming pool.
...other than the lack of pool hotel was pretty good. Room a good size and very clean and comfortable. For some reason we were allocated a room set up for disabled guests, with an adapted bathroom etc. This was fine and would be very good for guests who use a wheelchair. We were able to park outside the the hotel in one of their spaces for about 7 euros. Breakfast was quite good. The area was a little dodgy with loads of transvestite prostitutes roaming around! Other than that, location spot on, very near the sights and main train station.
However! Would not generally recommend Torino. Driving there should not be attempted apart from the most confident of drivers. Its mayhem! Some restaurant tried to completely rip us off. Torino was our least favourite city we visited on our trip (and we saw quite a few!) Would stay at Hotel Urbani again but only if it was moved from Torino!

Check in / front desk
10.0
A fabulous hotel at a great rate. Close to everything, friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is first rate. Location is also excellent: just a short walk from Porta Nuova railway station and the bus stop from the airport. The main shopping areas of Via Roma and Via Garibaldi are also a short walk from the hotel and the River Po less than a 10 minute stroll. There's a few restaurants nearby (one across the road) and bars just metres away. Don't miss it!
