Worst Hotel Experience of My LIfe

I have been to San Diego so many times and had the best trips! But this hotel was the WORST experience I've ever had!!!!! If this were the only place to stay in that city I would never go again. The service was horrible, it was so dirty and the carpets were stained, they charge * to park per day, and our room was above the bar which had a DJ one night until 2 in the morning, and a band the next night. We asked to have our room moved, which they did, but the AC unit sounded like a cat was trapped inside. I did speak with the manager who was helpful although the only credit I received back was my parking fees.

The shower had no hot water, the tv sound cut in and out and the air conditioner didn't work. On top of all that they tried to charge us twice for one night and when my husband went down to the front desk to disbute the charge the woman called her general manager who cussed my husband out and told him to "get out of his hotel". I would never stay in the hotel again and I wouldn't even reccomend it to my worst enemy. It was absolutly the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life.

Because of previous bad reviews we were almost afraind to book this hotel, and then were so pleased that we did. The lobby is beautiful, and our three day stay was very enjoyable. The employees were all friendly and helpful. All the rooms are being remodeled, but the lobby is outstanding with the lighting, huge TV, a grand piano, and computer center and large sitting area. I understand that the hotel is under different management but is having difficulties because of the previous bad reviews that they had received. The price we paid was much less than comparable hotels near the cruise port. I am not saying that this is the elite of all hotels, but for general stays it would be hard to beat for the price. We hope to stay there again on our next cruise out of San Diego.
