Tower 23 Hotel - San Diego, USA 

Relaxation with style

We found this hotel quite by accident. And we are please to report that it was a very happy experience. We had been travelling for about 2 months prior and were ready for a chill out and relax period by a beach in the sun and the location of Tower 23 fitted this requirement perfectly. We stayed for 5 nights in one of the rooms overlooking the sea. (and above the restaurant). The room itself was was very sylish and contemporary and we loved sitting on the balcony watching the world go by. We found it was a real bonus having such a great restaurant in the hotel and also had food delivered to our room. We had great service from pretty much everyone we encountered. There was some noise from the restaurant in our room but this stopped around midnightish and we didn't find it a real issue at all. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Overpriced!

We stayed here for 2 nites...that's about all we could afford! We were shocked at the price they get. The rooms are nicely appointed, but certainly not for the price. The overall feel is pretty snotty, which does not go with a beach atmosphere! We have stayed in the past at Capri by the Sea, but it was sold out. We will definately stay at Capri in the future. For LESS money you get a 1 or 2 bedroom condo with a full kitchen! SAME VIEW! If you are concerned with price, this is not the place for you. Just go North a few blocks to the Capri, you'll be glad you did.
