I reserved a room here for 2 nights, a Saturday and a Sunday for my son who was to enter UCSD Hospital Burn Unit on Monday. I put the charges on my credit card so he could just go from the airport to his room and rest until Monday morning. Well, I get a call from the front desk lady stating that I must present the credit card at check in before they will give him his room. Unfortunately she would not let him have the room unless he paid cash. The money we had given him for food and transportation had to be used to pay for this room. I don't understand why if they take a credit card to hold the room, why couldn't they just charge the room to that card. Don't bother reserving with a credit card!
