family friendly in a superb location

I enjoyed my stay at the residence inn la jolla. The staff was very friendly and their complimentary breakfast buffet is a huge plus. The parking is free and they also have a free shuttle that will take you to location attractions. The rooms were more spacious than a regular hotel. The property is set up similar to a large condo complex and it add to the privacy factor. I plan on staying here again next year!

The staff were very polite, professional, and helpful. We ordinarily stay at Marriott and are rarely disappointed. The room was pricey, however, because of Comic-Con being in town that same weekend. But even at the price, I was still satisfied. The studio room was perfectly sized: it has a full kitchen, a dining table, a small living room, and a fireplace. Our room was ADA accessible so our restroom was huge! The bed is due for a new mattress soon, but I still slept very well. Oh, and the complimentary breakfast in the morning is excellent. They have a little bit of everything: pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, pastries, bagels, toast, fruit, coffee, and juices! Plus, the dining area where the breakfast was served was large. (Other Marriotts we've stayed in have very small dining areas -- about 9 tables.) There was also a volleyball net set up outside on the grass where a family was having a picnic and playing a game. Overall, highly recommended. The hotel is even located in a great area in La Jolla.
