Okay
Fairly nice, but with some exceptions

We weren't aware that only the first bag of coffee in the room was free. We stayed two nights and it would have been nice to be informed of that on the wesite so that we could have brought our own coffee. To be fair, you could purchase a pot of coffee for $4.50 from them, but the coffee wasn't that great. Also, you are not allowed to leave any garbage in your room so we were required to take it out and sort it ourselves. I understand we need to sort and it is good for the environment, but they should probably include that on the website also or train their staff to do this. These little things add up when you feel you are paying high end dollars for your stay. Otherwise, the resort was clean and had wonderful countryside views.

Good
Superb Place for a Family Vacation

The Welk Resort is an excellent place for a family vacation. We have a family of five, including kids ranging from three to eight years old. Here are the high points: > The lodging is outstanding. We stayed in the two-bedroom villas. They are 1,400ft, have a full kitchen (stove, full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave), living room, and in-room laundry facilities. Apartment entertainment included cable, DVD player, VHS player, and a stereo. Everything was clean. We were very comfortable with a family of five. > The pools on the property are great. There are three or four sites with pools. One site is especially designed for kids and has two pools, a large (140-foot, I believe) water slide, and a splash zone for younger kids. Our kids loved the slide and there were never lines of any significance for the slide. > There are a number of recreation centers on the property, with things like billiards, air hockey, foosball, video games, toys for small children, and books. > The property has a catch and release pond with pole and bait available. > There are numerous scheduled optional activities available. These include crafts for kids and adults, movie nights, ice cream sundae-making, and a variety of other things.
